Starting from August 2023, Vietnam has applied a new electronic visa (e-visa) system for all nationalities with stays of up to 90 days.
In particular, citizens of selected countries will be granted visa-free privileges, allowing them to explore Vietnam for extended periods of up to 45 days. They are citizens of Japan, Korea, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, England, Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Belarus.
Also according to the new resolution, there are 13 Vietnamese airports that allow foreigners to enter and exit with electronic visas: Da Nang of the same name, Phu Bai in Thua Thien Hue province, Van Don in Quang Ninh province, Tho Xuan in Thanh Hoa province, Dong Hoi in Quang Binh, Phu Cat in Binh Dinh province, Tan Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh City, Noi Bai in Hanoi, Cam Ranh in Khanh Hoa province, Cat Bi in Hai Phong city, Can Tho in the city of the same name, Phu Quoc in Kien Giang province and Lien Khuong in Lam Dong province.
These types of electronic visas are also implemented for 16 border gates including Tay Trang in Dien Bien province, Mong Cai in Quang Ninh province, Huu Nghi in Lang Son province, Lao Cai in the province of the same name, Na Meo in Thanh Hoa province , Nam Can in Nghe An province, Cha Lo in Quang Binh province, La Lay and Lao Bao in Quang Tri province, Cau Treo in Ha Tinh province Moc Bai and Xa Mat in Tay Ninh province, Tinh Bien and Vinh Xuong in An Giang province , Ha Tien in Kien Giang province and Bo Y in Kon Tum province.
In addition, tourists can come to Vietnam by electronic visa through 13 seaports, which are Chan May in Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa, Quy Nhon in Binh Dinh, Dung Quat in Quang Ngai , Vung Tau in Bia Ria-Vung Tau province, Ho Chi Minh City, Hon Gai and Cam Pha in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Nghi Son in Thanh Hoa, Vung Anh in Ha Tinh, and Duong Dong in Kien Giang province.
So now, foreigners can easily choose a visa depending on the time they want to stay in Vietnam: 1 month single entry, 1 month multiple entries, 3 months single entry or 3 months multiple entries.
